Return to Virgin River can be read as a standalone novel or as a part of Robyn Carr's Virgin River series (season 2 of the Netflix adaptation comes out this week!). Kaylee, an author who is grieving the loss of her Mother, rents a house in Virgin River for several months in the hopes of finally finishing her current novel. But, Kaylee's plans take a drastic turn when she arrives in Virgin River to find a devastating fire being put out in her rental house. Since her house in Newport Beach has already been rented out until the end of the year, Kaylee decides to find alternative living arrangements in Virgin River. Luckily, Kaylee starts to move forward with the help of some rescue animals, a handsome dog trainer, and the friendly inhabitants of Virgin River. With Christmas, and the end of her rental agreement, fast approaching, Kaylee must make some tough decisions in order to make her dreams come true. Why I liked this book...

This month's book club pick is the newest YA novel by the authors of Five Feet Apart. At the end of his senior year of high school, Kyle's world is turned upside down when he wakes up in the hospital, after a horrible car accident, and finds out that his on-again-off-again girlfriend (Kimberly) is dead. As Kyle tries to heal his mental and physical wounds, he befriends a girl named Marley; Marley is also struggling to move forward after a traumatic incident and she is the only person who seems to truly understand what Kyle is going through. But, things aren't always as they seem...will Kyle fall (again) just as he is regaining his footings? Even though I thought that this book was hard to follow at times, it was very engaging and hard to put down. I thought that this book was an easy read; the plot was rather fast-paced and the page count was shorter than average. A definite must read for any teens or young adults who loved Five Feet Apart and enjoys reading YA dramas or "sick lit". About the Book:Why I Chose this Book...
